REASONS TO JOIN NGAPR

We are professionals. Like teachers, doctors, engineers we, the military officers must belong to a professional organization that represent us.

The Association is our voice in matters that concern the National Guard at the state and United States level.

Membership allows you and your guest to attend and participate in the annual convention and other social functions.


TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP
All commissioned and warrant officer on active federally recognized status in the Puerto Rico National Guard, as well as those who formerly served in a federal or state recognized status as commissioned or warrant officer of the Army or Air National Guard and/or any of the Armed Forces Reserve or Active components and whose separation there from was under honorable conditions, shall be eligible for active membership, upon application and payment of the prescribed dues.
All former active federally recognized officers and warrant officers of the Puerto Rico National Guard shall be eligible for Associate membership, upon application and payment of the prescribed dues.

Any members may be granted a life membership in the Association upon payment of the dues established for such a membership.

All living former Governors and the Governor of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico shall be honorary members of the Association. Other persons may be granted the status by the unanimous vote of the members present at the Annual Conference.

This class of membership may be bestowed on commissioned and warrant officers of the Puerto Rico State Guard (State Defense Forces) and of any other Military Forces of Puerto Rico, and those of the United Sates of America.

This very special class of membership will be bestowed only on individuals or organizations that have made extraordinary contributions to the furtherance of the purposes of the Association, including those who have contributed with financial support of major Association enterprises.

This very special class of membership will be bestowed only on individuals who become members within four months from the incorporation of the Association and who remain s such for one full year.

This special class of membership will be completely Ad Honorem and will be presented to a member of the immediate family of a deceased Active, Associate or Special member.
